Meet Stan Freeda

Stan Freeda
Welcome.  Thanks for attending my workshop.  Here is a little bit about me. Professionally, I am the specialist for Educational Technology and Online Learning at the New Hampshire Department of Education.  I am the voice of #NHEdTech! I support educational technology in New Hampshire schools by reviewing school ICT/Digital Literacy programs in order to help schools meet the minimum standards for school approval, offering guidance and support for district technology and digital learning plans, and working with the multi-agency New Hampshire School Connectivity Initiative. I earned bachelor’s degrees in both physics and biology; and also earned master’s degrees in limnology and oceanography, and in education.  I also earned a graduate certificate in Educational Technology and Online Learning. As a classroom teacher, I taught a wide range of sciences at both the middle and high school levels. I also taught and developed science and education courses at the college level, both in the online and face to face environments. I am an active member of Chapter 44 of the State Employees Association and currently serve as Secretary. In my personal life, I am very involved in local community organizations in my hometown of Farmington. I help with the administration and development of the websites and social media presence for the Farmington Historical Society, the Farmington Democratic Committe, and the Puddledock Press of Farmington, New Hampshire. I currently serve as the Chair of the Farmington Democratic Committee, and serve on the boards of several professional and community organizations.
